WHAT IS RARE DISEASE DAY?
Globally, there are 300 million people living with a rare disease. These diseases are all different, ranging from being genetic, infectious, or degenerative. Because of the variety and limited presence of rare diseases, there often are not many treatment options available.
Rare Disease Day is a global movement that seeks to raise awareness and promote advocacy for individuals with disabilities. It is a powerful reminder that, despite limited treatment options, no rare family is invisible or alone.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Come ready to celebrate! The evening will include hors d'oeuvres, drinks, a silent auction, and live Frank Sinatra-style music from The Mad Pack.
The dress code is formal black or white attire.
YOUR DONATION'S IMPACT
Your generous donation creates opportunities for individuals with disabilities and rare diseases, and provides essential support for their families.
The Rare Road Foundation, a 501(c)(3) public charity, partners with towns to renovate existing playgrounds with disability-inclusive equipment, provides adaptive bicycles to children in need, and hosts family gatherings for caregivers and children to build friendships and find strength in one another.
